We provide our customers with analytics solution design. Depending on our customer’s business needs, our BA services cover development of the analytics solution’s components such as warehouse, setting up ETL and data cleaning processes, reports and dashboards.
Consulting
We help our clients develop a BA strategy, design and optimise BA architecture, ensure data quality and automate reporting to meet our clients’ needs for informed decision making.
At Swiss Visual Data we are members of the Intentional Institute for Business Analytics (IIBA) and follow the principles of the Business Data Analytics section. The six BDA knowledge areas described by the IIBA introductory manual are:

Identifying and understanding stakeholders enables analysts to actively engage, collaborate with the various parties involved in an analysis initiative and identify stakeholders’ analysis needs.

Before data can be sourced, analysis is performed to determine what data is most relevant to the analytics problem. Analyst plays a significant role in understanding and suggesting relevant data that may provide. The data required may be internally available within the organization or may require external sources. In certain cases, active data collection may be required directly from the customers. Some data may not be available due to privacy rules while other data may only be available during specific time frames. It requires choosing a representative group for data collection, designing surveys that will result in relevant data, embedding such surveys into business processes and workflows

Analyzing data involves deciding how data analysis will be performed, including which models and mathematical or statistical techniques will be used. Strong collaboration between the data scientist and the business analysis professional ensures that the analytics work is performed within the correct business context.

The interpretation of data and the preparation of results are two of the most important aspects of data analysis. This allows to obtain an overall business view of the data collected and to determine the most appropriate way to communicate the results of business data analysis to stakeholders.

Finally, the results should be used to influence decision-making, better organise the flow of information and in general better optimise work. In this way, analytical processes can be used as a strategic asset to influence the business model and processes.
